ARTIST
- Ron Beahn started studying watercolor painting in the Fall of 1980
by participating in classes from local working artists in his hometown of Akron,
Ohio. He expanded his studies by attending workshops and classes given by many
nationally known artists that includes: Claude Croney AWS, Franklin Jones AWS, Edgar Whitney
AWS,
Irving Shapiro AWS, Tom Nicholas AWS, NA, Don Andrews AWS, Carlton Plummer AWS, Hal Scroggy
AWS, Mel Stabin AWS and Marc Moon AWS.
Ron has exhibited in many one man shows and competed in
numerous nationally known exhibitions, where he has been recognized for his
ability to handle the medium. He is a life time member and is the Chairman of
the Board of
Directors of the "Whiskey Painters of America". He is a past officer and board
member of local art groups, and holds associate membership in various national
organizations as well. Ron presently markets his work by exhibiting in
nationally recognized shows in Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Virginia, Connecticut
and Pennsylvania.

DIRECTOR
- Ron Beahn has been involved in the assembly and development of art shows
since 1980 and has been on the management side of producing art shows since
1985. He is the current Director of the Boston Mills Artfest, a position
he has held since 1995. Under his leadership Boston Mills continues to be ranked
as one of the finest outdoor shows in the United States.
Ron's experience as an artist impacts his approach to
managing shows. His unique views and direction, along with his ability to
communicate with both patrons and artists, has earned him the reputation of
being a fair and honest director whose shows are known for being well organized
and smoothly run.

CURATOR/CONSULTANT
- Ron Beahn is the retired Art Curator for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.
While curator, he created, developed and managed a collection of over 600 pieces
of artwork, valued in excess of $6.5 million. He also owned and managed an
upscale art gallery and frame shop prior to becoming a full time painter. Among
his framing clients were senators, congressmen, sports and recording stars, as
well as the White House (George and Barbara Bush). Ron presently acts as
an art consultant in the areas of framing, restoration and purchasing, for
Goodyear, Brandywine Ski Resort and many private collectors.

JUROR/JUDGE - Ron Beahn
is often called upon by art
groups, shows
and organizations to share his knowledge and expertise. Whether it's serving as
a juror of selection, a consultant, or a judge of awards, Ron's background and experience,
makes him a valuable asset when it comes to performing these duties. He is always
willing to take the time to give back to a profession that has provided him
with so much.
Ron also does not hesitate, when asked, to demonstrate
his watercolor painting techniques to school systems, medical facilities and art
organizations.

WATERCOLOR
DEMONSTRATION - In support of the Green Arts Council,
recognizing Celebration of the Arts day and to promote upcoming
watercolor classes, Ron has agreed to do a watercolor painting. The
demonstration will be held in room 126 of Green High School on Saturday, March
1st. Ron will start at 11:30AM and paint at least until 2 PM and will be on hand
to answer any of your questions. Green High
